From: Klaus Ade Johnstad To: mk@neon1.net Subject: Tip for using TomsRTBT to install Monowall. Date: Sat, 26 Feb 2005 20:22:35 +0100 I found myself trying to install monowall on a pc without a cdrom, even without the possibility to temporarily use one. So, I used tomsRTBT (http://www.toms.net/rb/) Very easy, with one little trick; since the default ramdisk size in tomsrtbt is 4MB, the generic-pc-xxx.img image didn't fitt. Booting tomsrtbt with bz2bzImage ramdisk_size=10000 sets the ramdisk size to 10MB, sufficient to download generic-pc-xxx.img and install. Then do the usuall gunzip -c generic-pc-xxx.img | dd of=/dev/hdX bs=16k Great product, i'm replacing all my Coyote Linux firewalls with Monowall. Just my small tip for your http://m0n0.ch/wall/installation_generic.php -- Klaus
