Hi all!
As I started learning more about m0n0wall development, the relation
between 1.0 and 1.1b was not so clear for me...
So, I contacted Manuel in a private thread : he recommends to play with
version 1.0 (official stable version) for production environments.
Things can't be clearer.
But on the other hand, it seems that some bug fixes in 1.1b have not
been back-ported to version 1.0 (the "PPPoE + DHCP/DNS" problem Hilton
Travis mentioned earlier, for example)... [Please let me know if I've
missed something!]
So:
1 - How can people know what bugs have been fixed and what new features
are currently being developed on the other hand ?
2 - Is there a way to get the "PPPoE + DHCP/DNS" bug fix officially
back-ported to version 1.0?
3 - Are there other such bugs or annoyances in the 1.0 release which
could be fixed in a 1.0.1 release?
It seems no one is focusing on 1.0 anymore. But, as long as 1.0 is the
official stable version, I think it shouldn't be forgotten... Of course,
I'm not asking someone to do the work! I just want to have your opinion
on that topic.
Have a nice day,
