It seems to me that most users of m0n0wall put a high priority on
performance, hence the reversion to 4.x over 5.3. In fairly recent
benchmarks, OpenBSD's networking speed didn't even come close to that of
FreeBSD 5.x (I will dig up these benchmarks when I get a chance, since I
keep mentioning them). It's a huge drawback and is of prime importance
on a firewall. |
