I can think of little I would like more than to replace my wireless
bridge with a net4801/vpn1411 + an atheros card and run m0n0wall on it.
My LAN is 100Mbps, so my internet connection speed is irrelevant when
I'm transferring files, of doing installkernel/installworld over NFS,
between my laptop and other computers on my LAN. With 802.11g/G as cheap
as it is now, and the soekris boxes as cheap/quiet/reliable as they are,
this is a great option to /many/, especially those fed up with the
crappy, closed firmware shipped on general wireless routers. If 36% of
users who take the surveys have wireless cards, I'm not alone.
