I think that there should be another question about AJAX "Should AJAX be 
required to use the WebGUI". I think that the resounding answer will be no, 
but it would probably also add a few more yes answers to the first question.

How about issueing a range. i.e. The survey will last until at least this 
date, but will continue until this date if we don't feel that we've gotten 
enough responses by then.
