excellent, could you run a battery of TCP throughput tests between versions 
1.2 and 1.3a1 of m0n0wall ? the two are identical with exception of base 
operating system as well as version number bumps on some of the apps.

we'd probably need to consider the following:

1. TCP throughput w/o firewall rules
2. UDP throughput w/o firewall rules
3. TCP and UDP throughput with some firewall rules
4. TCP and UDP throughput with the magic shaper QoS rules
5. TCP and UDP throughput with IPSec VPNs

ideally, they should be done on the same hardware, be it a soekris 45xx or 
48xx. running it on higher hardware wont max out the CPU before wire speed 
is reached.
