No problem. I will assume you are using Windows, so that it is useful to
the most people. :-)
Download Qemu Manager for Kqemu support here.
http://www.davereyn.co.uk/qem/setupqemuk22.exe
http://www.davereyn.co.uk/download.htm for other versions and documentation.
Install and configure.
Download and unrar my VMDE distribution. If you are not familiar with .rar
images, http://www.rarlab.com/ is a good source of info, and an unarchiver.
Run Qemu Manager. The fist button is "Create New Virtual Machine" and you
need to click it. Name it something reasonable. Choose "Linux
Distribution" and if you have the ram to spare, bump it up to 256 meg.
Check "Use Existing Virtual Drive." Select the "FreeBSD-root.dsk" file, and
on the next screen choose "Default" and do not enable audio or full screen.
Next screen check "View Advanced Configuration Options..." and save. Click
the "Disk Configuration" tab. "Hard Disk C:" is done. Click the file
folder on "Hard Disk D:" and add "FreeBSD-mount.dsk" and under the "Hard
Disk F:" (Not E:) check "FreeBSD-swap.dsk" and save.
The right most button is "Launch Selected Virtual Machine Exclusively."
Click it and boot up FreeBSD. Log in a "user" or "root" with the password
"mono" and you are set.
