Thank you Junior.
I appreciate your help.
If someone else thinks this feature is handy it might wind up in the
official build.
Ciao
Maurizio

Maurizio,
Actually, to save you from re-inventing the wheel, I have already
developed this feature which allows one to enter the administrator's
password, which is concealed, and then is forwarded to the menu.
Let me get these togeather for you, and let you decide if you want to
implement them.

Ok, I must admit that I overlooked that option as a possible
solution.
Still, disabling the console is not the same as protecting it
with a
password.
I appreciate the possibility to disable the console, but having
it
password protected would be a plus.
Bottom line: I can live with that, and I'm still more than happy
with my
m0n0!
Ciao

In the Advanced Menu under the System heading there is a option
to
disable the console. Go will have to reboot the system each
time you
change the option.

Hi.
May I suggest a feature that I could not locate on the current
version
of m0n0wall?
A way to lock the console (PC console, not the webGUI, of
course) would
make a PC-based installation a little safer. I keep the PC with
m0n0wall
attached to a KVM (since I'm still testing it) and I have no way
to
prevent access to the console.
Thank you.
Maurizio
