Subject:  How can I get rid of this System Log entry?
 Date:  Tue, 2 May 2006 14:09:28 +0200
Hi.

On m0n0 system log I get a lot of lines like this:

/kernel: arp: 10.12.1.3 moved from 00:02:b3:65:a5:0d to
00:02:b3:bf:3a:d9 on dc1

I think it is because my 10.12.1.3 has two Intel NICs paired to form a
"Team" in "Adaptive Load Balancing" mode. And the log entry tells me
that m0n0 sees traffic coming sometimes from one MAC, and sometimes from
another MAC, and the arp table needs to be updated. Fine.

Fact is that I have at least two more machines with the same setup (two
NIC forming a team), but I m0n0 "complains" only about this one.

My question is (forget the subject):
- When I have teamed NICs in my LAN, is it normal to get this log
entries?
- If so, how can I filter them out?
- If so (2), does anybody have any idea why my other two PC don't cause
the same "problem"?
- If NOT, does anybody have any idea why this is happening?

Thank you.
Maurizio
