Read the development guide, and Michiel Idema's hacking guide and it 
will set you up.  (I just posted links to this this week in a thread 
from Molly) You need a FreeBSD 4.11p13 system to hack from, build and 
compile on.

Waste of bandwidth.  All of the packages for m0n0wall are from FreeBSD 
4.11p13.  You install that system, patch it up, and you have the rest 
of the OS.
