I have been thinking about this alot in the past couple days. There
is some thing that I need that are in pfsense. I am running on a
600mhz PC so speed is not a problem. My only concern is speed and
stability. I think that I may switch when they hit the version 1 non
beta. From what I have heard it is very stable already however I am
still going to wait for a non beta release.
So I guess users will ask to themselves why m0n0wall, since m0n0wall
will be on the same OS it should get almost the same throughput. And
if pfsense is just as stable(will be i hope) then if your runnning it
on a PC anyway, why not switch? I have always liked m0n0wall because
it is fast, stable, and simple. However pfsense is becoming many of
those things. The one thing still rooting for m0n0wall is it runs
well on slower machines(wrap etc)
Just some things to think about.
