 Subject:  Building mono from scratch
 Date:  Tue, 27 Jun 2006 09:48:42 +0000
Hi,

I just tried compiling monowall from scratch using MS Virtual PC and the
m0n0wall Developers' Handbook. I'm sorry to say i wasn't successful - when
firing up the patched kernel i get a kernel panic.

The FreeBSD rel 4.11 seems to have moved to "old-releases" in the FreeBSD
repositories so i had to manually change a couple of URI's. This may be the
reason for the problems. Also i'm no FreeBSD expert - that might play a
significant role.

Anyway- has anyone build mono from scratch recently? Do any of you have a
virtual PC image, which i could use as a starting point? What is the status
of the (hopefully) upcoming FreeBSD 6 based mono version?
