Ah great, any way to change it in the current release ?
Best thing would be to give the option imho :) maybe something nice for the
next 2.23 beta ?
Thanks,
Jurgen.

Thats definitely possible. It was in my original code but left out because I
didn't program a choice :)

Onderwerp: [m0n0wall-dev] Captive portal Radius using CHAP instead of PAP
Hi people,
Going a bit back in time, referring to this discussion on the devlist in may
2004 ( http://m0n0.ch/wall/list-dev/showmsg.php?id=1/15
<https://webvpn.imelda.be/http/m0n0.ch/wall/list-dev/showmsg.php?id=1/15> )
Currently the CP only uses PAP authentication. Personally I am more worried
about plaintext passwords over the internet (or local network) then storing
it in mysql on a reasonably secure host.
Thus my question : Is it possible to implement the choice for CHAP or PAP in
the captive portal radius authentication ?
Of course within a reasonable effort and not needing to rewrite the entire
radius code :)
With kind regards,
Jurgen van Vliet
