Why don't you use 1.23 beta or 1.22 release? Afaik there will be no new 
features in 1.3 (regardless of the base operating system) except for 
other hardware support.

I am currently using 1.23beta1 on WRAP and have tested my current 
configuration with 1.3a3 generic-pc with no problems. So you would have 
a good starting point in using a release version.
