if you have physical access to the m0n0wall, and with a null serial cable,
you can place a /bin/sh exec as the last line in /etc/rc of the m0n0wall
image and get a shell on the serial console. this is what i do on my
m0n0walls, especially during development. this way, even if i had to leave
the m0n0wall running with the shell, only someone with physical access
could compromise the box.
