Ideally, a forum would act like a list member, it would receive list mail
and create a post for it, then if someone that uses the forum instead of the
list, the forum would not only post to itself, it would send to the list as
well. This has been hashed out many times here, some people like lists and
some like forums, personally I like both. The main issue is fragmenting the
userbase by not having the list and forum syncronized, people would have to
search two places to get answers. If someone can get a method of syncing the
forum with the list it would be a welcome addition and this subject could be
put to rest. There is so much info in the list, it would be a shame to not
have it searchable from any forum that were to startup. I know I have almost
30,000 messages in my monowall folder in Outlook.
