Hi,
I am trying to build a m0n0wall image with a few utilities. As a first
step, I am trying to build a clean m0n0wall CD-ROM iso image without
any modifications and managed to build the ISO as explained in the
developer doc.
Then I tried the ISO with a Vmware Server Virtual Machine. It doesn't
boot properly and drops to the "mountroot>" prompt.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Manual root filesystem specification:
<fstype>:<drive>Mount <device> using filesystem <fstype>
e.g. ufs: /dev/da0s1a
? List valid disk boot devices
<empty line> Abort manual input
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I also noticed that there was a "Invalid load type" message during
bootup right after the 'kernel text = ..." line.
I am trying to figure out the problem by going through the install doc
again and comparing with the iso from m0n0wall site (which works just
fine). I am a bit of FreeBSD newbie. So if someone could help me out
here, that would be great.
Thanks & Regards
