Sounds like a good tool, if I got the idea correctly. But I got questions on
usage: when I have freebsd installed, what do I do next? And what exactly
will you dev tool will do besides building the images (and where will it
get mono files if its clean bsd install?)

Subject: [m0n0wall-dev] announcing: m0n0dev v0.1.0 (dev tool for the 1.3

Greetings everyone,
I've been working for the past couple of weeks on a project in which I
need to do some heavy customization of m0n0wall. As my build scripts
kept getting more and more complicated, I decided to try and make
something out of them that others, in a similar situation, could use.

m0n0dev is a php script that can build working 1.3b2 images for all of
the supported platforms from a fresh FreeBSD 6.2 install (in a
development jail) in 5 steps with minimal user intervention. It uses
some patches currently not in SVN to automate this process. Ports and
patching need some work (some ugly workarounds to automate things in
there). I would be glad to hear any suggestions on how to clean some
of these areas up.

If you have no need for such a development tool but are willing to
help test, I've also posted images from the 1.3 branch that I've
generated with m0n0dev. We currently don't have the equipment
necessary to do any extensive testing so, if you could even give a
"works fine here" post back to the list, that would be greatly

If you're still reading this, then continue on here:

Thanks to all the devs out there working on m0n0wall!
