Actually I thought more likely to have 20,000 units. That a big # for one
supplier but if we combine many distributors we can get the quantity (yes
for you then competition will be tougher) Let's say get 20 distributors with
1000 units PO for each. 

What is the time difference between NY and HI? Are you GMT -9?

I think the board represents a high degree of difficulty for a  
FreeBSD port.

Its one thing to have a solution that is slightly too expensive  
(versus 'wishes'), its quite another
to have no solution because its taking a long time to get FreeBSD  
running. (a pre-requisite for
m0n0wall running, I might add.)

I think the board is somewhat under-powered for FreeBSD.   The 175MHz  
clockspeed might be OK,
but the CPU can't address more than 4MB of flash without jumping  
through hoops (implementing segmentation).

I think you're perhaps unprepared for the realities of what it would  
take to put together a 10,000 unit order in order
to drive the pricing you've been quoted.
