Was that not what the FreeBSD v6.x version of m0n0wall was going to be?
Maybe this project will encompass BOTH changes, so v2.0 would be appropriate.

What's wrong with m0n0wall 2.0?
It keeps the name recognition, and indicates a major change has been made.
