Subject:  Support for LAN as Bridged interface
 Date:  Wed, 23 Jul 2008 13:16:07 +0100
Whilst we're on the subject of interface tweaks, it'd be really useful
if the LAN interface could be bridged to the WAN interface - at the
moment, I can only bridge OPT.

In my setup m0n0wall acts as a transparent traffic-shaping bridge
between my internal network and my ADSL router.

I had lots of problems with this in 1.3b11, although many of these have
been resolved in 1.3b13. However, I believe that it is still the case
that I've had to set the LAN IP address to something in an unused subnet
in order that traffic is correctly routed over the WAN/OPT bridge,
rather than it being sent to the (disconnected) LAN socket.

Cheers,

Stuart
