Im running with 1.2x series and RAIDUS through
IAS to our MS Active Directory without problem.

Perhaps you could test with 1.2 first? 

The configuration of IAS is rather straight forward but I
always forget to allow Unencrypted authentication
(PAP, SPAP) in the Profile for the Remote Access Policies.

The other thing if you have an old AD is to check the user
object on the dial-in tab that it is "Control access through
Remote Acess Policy". I have a script that changed that
for all our users when we started to use IAS.
