Hmm seems to be worth looking if you have a DMZ with public servers
(mailserver is behind your firewall, prevent ddos for your webservers,
etc.)

But those firewalls are generally not embedded devices as m0n0wall is made
for. IMHO this does not make any sense to implement it on m0n0wall.

But what about pfSense?
