yep, the remain bugs I know of are not common or critical, so we could
remove beta from 1.8 now I think.  There will probably be some iterations
on it with more fixes over time anyway.


forget 1.9 , it's going to be 1.10 ... in fact, I'm hoping 1.10 was born
tonight :)  freebsd 10 build is checked in based on rc5, and creates
working images ready to start testing, so we could start a new beta of 1.10
with 1.8 out of beta ...
