If someone is interested in implementing this: There are two timers in
mpd's iface.c: sessionTimer and idleTimer. They are only started if the
corresponding timeout value was set. Writing some C-code, these timers
could be shown by the console access "show iface" command. Console
access can be permitted by localhost only, so that there is a way for
status_interfaces.php to look at some statistic data via tcp socket.
