The docs need to be updated and I haven't had time to finish the
update yet.  But the wi driver is not the only supported driver. 
1.2b6 has an(4), wi(4), and ath(4) driver support.

1.11 also has more than wi(4), the docs just state that hostap is only
supported on wi cards.
