I didn't tried http yet because HTTPS is a mandatory feature for
authentication over a Wireless lan.

But yes, i think it's only in HTTPS mode. The ADMIN pages still keep working
when the captive portal doesn't. (don't know if it is some other daemon)

Yes, I know, I've seen that too. However, that doesn't help us either
(but could it be that it only happens in HTTPS mode?). I haven't been
able to reproduce the problem over here, so until I can, somebody who
experiences the problem will have to try to produce more debug output
(again, truss would be very helpful) for us to figure out what's
going on.
