I noticed the log uploads I did were not accepted into the list-dev portal.
Either your list program or that silly exchange server I have to use ;)
axed them out. If they are needed I will copy/paste them into the email.
Just as an FYI the list-dev program limits email inputs (on purpose, I know)
to 30KB. My two truss logs were about 48KB.

Just to help anyone following this thread; this is what I did to get the
new/old mini_httpd in.

%wget http://m0n0.ch/temp/cpfix/mini_httpd
%wget http://m0n0.ch/temp/cpfix/mv
upload these two files to /tmp via the exec.php
exec.php% chmod 777 /tmp/mv
exec.php% /tmp/mv -f /tmp/mini_httpd /usr/local/sbin/
exec.php% chmod 755 /usr/local/sbin/mini_httpd
Then return to the m0n0wall GUI...go to captiveportal settings and hit the
SAVE button.
Keep in mind that this method will only last as far as a reboot... you'll
need to make your own new CD or wait until the next beta release (I
presume).

I'll follow-up NLT Friday if she doesn't fail.

Respectfully and thanks again for your time,
John

I uploaded the new mini_httpd into /usr/local/sbin/mini_httpd (replaced the
old one) burned the new cd but now I don't have any kind of webinterface
anymore.

Any idea? It should be handy if you also could execute commands from the
console.

Now it's clear - it's indeed the same old bug, reintroduced. Turns
out that I had an old copy of the mini_httpd patch lying around and
accidentally used that one. I'm very sorry about that.

I've uploaded a patched mini_httpd to
http://m0n0.ch/temp/cpfix/mini_httpd. You should be able to upload it
through exec.php, move the old /usr/local/sbin/mini_httpd out of the
way, then copy the new one to that location and finally restart the
captive portal by clicking save on the setup page. The mv utility is
at http://m0n0.ch/temp/cpfix/mv and will also be included in the next
release, since it's only 8 KB and useful enough.

The patches tarball at
http://m0n0.ch/wall/downloads/freebsd-4.11/patches.tgz has been
updated as well.

I'm pretty sure that the problem should be fixed now, but I'd
appreciate if you could give me some feedback.

A new m0n0wall release with this fix (and other things) will be
available soon.

Thank you very much for your help!

- Manuel
