Subject:  Kernel Bug Traffic Shaping in Bridged Mode
 Date:  Sat, 30 Apr 2005 12:47:10 +0200
Traffic shaping in bridged mode of 1.2b7 is currently disabled because
of the kernel bug which Manuel documented in
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=kern/78090

I am very interested in fixing this bug in the kernel because I would
love to use shaping in bridged mode for some experiments with VoIP over
emulated IP channels (using dummynet which is already implicitely
available in m0n0wall).

Are you aware of anyone who is already working on fixing this bug? If
so, I am happy to contribute to the effort, if appropriate. Otherwise, I
am prepared to dive into those kernel modules and have a go at it.

Thanks in advance for any hints,
Rolf
