how to use serial output on generic-pc having vga-cart?

I have installed m0n0wall on  genecric pc,and using it(m0n0 is very
powerful ).but when i connect serial port ,it no output .I found that
can serial port in users guide only no VGA !
 i want to moving VGA , but the hardware platform  that i using is
intergrate with VGA. how can next i do .i need use serial port to
setup m0n0wall.
