i'm 'glad' to see this message.

i'm using xls on freebsd 4.11 too and i ported the xl driver in 5.x
back to 4.11 to allow xl working in polling mode on 4.11. but when i
was testing the new driver, everything were ok except a few similar
messages. i cound't remember whether i saw the same message with the
legacy non-polling driver. i thought those messages might indicate
bugs in my ported driver but i didn't know where went wrong.

now your post here makes it clear to me that those messages have
nothing to do with my ported driver and they can be spit out by the
legacy xl driver, too.

so i am happy to see the post here.
