Hi, Today I was bitten by the date reset issue when upgrading to pb3. After the reboot, the date was 1980-01-01 This seems to be a problem in the interaction between FreeBSD and BIOS; see thread starting with http://lists.soekris.com/pipermail/soekris-tech/2002-December/001167.html and also see phk's mail in which he asks to test at http://lists.soekris.com/pipermail/soekris-tech/2002-December/001184.html I'll build a kernel with this fix just to see (is the kernel config on the m0n0wall-site up-to-date?) but the real question is, is this a sign that m0n0wall attempts to set the clock, and why? regards, --Bart |
