I just used bs=16k as specified for compact flash writes and experienced
no problems. The disk was a 2.5 inch 20 GB drive.

Yes it is. Just dd the image onto a harddisk (preferably the primary
master) instead of a compact flash card.

Is it possible to run m0n0wall on harddisk? I was wondering if it was
possible to modify the image coming from m0n0wall, so that it can run on
harddisk instead.

Many thanks,
Roscoe
