The documentation, in particular section 12.21

gives a sample rule which has a destination of "any".  It seems to make 
more sense to me to limit the destination of the WAN address of the 
m0n0wall itself.  Is there a reason for the use of "any" in the 
documentation that I am overlooking?  Or is this just a minor oversight 
in the docs?
