I've experienced the same problems.  I have been on all broad band
connections and gotten random disconnects using XP also.  I upgraded to
Service Pack 2 and still the same thing.

Does anyone know of a free Ipsec client for windows?

I have four or five users complaining of random PPTP disconnects when
connecting from XP to the m0n0wall's built in VPN server.  The
login-logout logs confirm it, but I wouldn't mind more information, like
if the server or client dropped the connection.  How can I dig up more?
