For CLI you can simply use the ssh dropbear packages from
http://www.xs4all.nl/~fredmol/m0n0/. They work perfectly well, and the
images also include some useful tools.

I would second this alternative.  I personally, would like a CLI, but a big
plus for a lot of people is the GUI.
