Subject:  External ip and gateway on difrent subnets how to make route
 Date:  Fri, 26 Nov 2004 01:45:50 +0100
I give up hope anybody knows this.

My setup

LAN------M0n0Wall------WAN (Modem PPPOA)

LAN ip is 192.168.0.1-30

LAN gateway (monowall) 192.168.0.102

LAN DNS 192.168.0.102

LAN subnet 255.255.255.0

Wan ip is 217.157.188.xxx

Wan gateway is 212.242.40.3

Wan DNS is 212.242.40.3

Subnet is 255.255.255.255

All pushed bye the ISP via DHCP

And here is my problem M0n0wall cant find the gateway because the subnet
is to small.

I have tried doing "route add -host 212.242.40.3 -iface vr0" but that
does not help.

How do I do this.

I also get this errors in the system log.

/kernel: arpresolve: can't allocate llinfo for 217.157.188.xxxrt

/kernel: arplookup 217.157.188.xxx failed: host is not on local network

Every 4 sec.
