trying to connect a standalone server over x-over to
opt1 on a 4501.
- set opt1 as bridged to wan, and 
- switched on proxy-arp for 2nd ip addr.
assigned 2nd ip from my isp (cox) to the server.
can only ping from server to mono's wan port, not any
further..
- tried it with and without "filtering bridge", 
- got rules on all ports allowing anything from and to
the 2nd ip...

can't find anything as mentioned in:
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/articles/filtering-bridges/
 in the mono environment, 
and only found questions about bridge issues in the
mailing list, but no good solutions. 
wonder what i am missing?

anyone out there using the opt1 successfully with a
2nd  static IP on WAN?

any pointer appreciated and many TIA
