Full duplex makes collisions impossible, but if that's a hub, not a
switch, you have to use half.

Very, very unlikely.  

When you have all the systems online, does nothing work at all? 
They're getting DHCP addresses obviously, after that can they ping
each other and both ping m0n0wall?
