I had to save my m0n0wall config and edit it by hand to remove the WAN interface's subnet, IP, and gateway. I then uploaded the new config to my 4801 running 1.11 and when it came back online everything works great! It now appears to be functioning as a truly transparent filtering bridge. At worst, I think this solution deserves an entry in the FAQ. However, Manuel, do you think we could add a "no IP" option to the Interfaces -> WAN -> Type drop down? Or perhaps add a "no IP" check box to the "Static IP configuration" section with a warning and short explanation (like, "check this for a truly transparent bridge") maybe? -- Jesse Guardiani, Systems Administrator WingNET Internet Services, P.O.
