M0n0wall seems to work just fine from a zip250 IDE drive. Its a bit slow booting (because zip isn't nearly as fast as an IDE hard disk), but its humming along great. A big thank you to all those who got this working in the 1.2b3 beta. This makes things too easy... -Rob ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert Staph" <rstaph at digitalimpreza dot com> To: <m0n0wall at lists dot m0n0 dot ch> Sent: Monday, January 31, 2005 3:36 PM Subject: Re: [m0n0wall] M0n0wall from a IDE zip drive >I decided to just install a zip drive since I had to reboot anyway to >update my config. > > Jan 31 15:04:01/kernel: afd0: 96MB <IOMEGA ZIP 100 ATAPI> [96/64/32] at > ata1-slave PIO0 > Jan 31 15:04:01/kernel: acd0: CDROM <CRD-8480C> at ata1-master PIO4 > Jan 31 15:04:01/kernel: ad0: 6149MB <QUANTUM FIREBALL EX6.4A> > [13328/15/63] at ata0-master PIO4 > > it looks like it can see it. eventually I'll try to boot from it. > > -Rob > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Chris Buechler" <cbuechler at gmail dot com> > To: "Robert Staph" <rstaph at digitalimpreza dot com> > Cc: <m0n0wall at lists dot m0n0 dot ch> > Sent: Monday, January 31, 2005 3:12 PM > Subject: Re: [m0n0wall] M0n0wall from a IDE zip drive > > >> On Mon, 31 Jan 2005 12:10:18 -0500, Robert Staph >> <rstaph at digitalimpreza dot com> wrote: >>> Is anyone out there running m0n0wall from an IDE zip drive?
