Build/Development Environment for VPC

Subject:	Build/Development Environment for VPC

I use a Mac for my day to day work and I would like to try and do some
customizations for my own LAN and maybe feed back to the project. Since the
only PC I own now is the Soekris I was wondering if anyone has developed a
build environment using VPC and would not mind sharing or telling me the
steps they went thru to develop it.
