Hi Alan

As your description says, you use a external pptp server and not the
internal (monos) one, right ? 
If you use the monos internal pptp server, you have to allow traffic from
pptp-interface (that's a virtual one,
not a physical). 

Can you please post us more details (e.g. part of firewall log) ?

running mono on 1.2b7 with ptpp server on a wrap board.
 
lan computers
wan wireless
opt1 wireless 2
opt2 ptpp server
 
all traffic is allowed to all interfaces allow all to all for each
interface.
 
but when connecting to ptpp server i get a firewall deny and logs in the
firewall denying access to ptpp interface.
 
any ideas
