That's kinda odd and good to know.  I don't run my own DNS, but use a
3rd party provider for my DNS, and oddly enough I use a CNAME in the
data field of my MX record and things work out... but I guess it's at
least nice to know it's not supposed to work in case it breaks in the
future.
