Ugh, that stinks.

It worked when I used smoothwall and ipcop.

Or have it in m0n0wall. ;-)

A $10 dlink router I got from tigerdirect (literally - it ran me $10
after rebate) has this functionality built in. Enter a hostname in the
blocked hostname list and its blocked, no proxy required.
