Evryone wanting to contribute, with paragraphs or without, is my friend :-) I can't help you on the IPSec question, but I have 2 m0n0wall's running (both 4501's from soekris): -between the corporate LAN and showroom of a client (about 20 clients in the showroom) (about 1 year) -between the corporate LAN and 2 WAN connections (international corporate and some supplier of services) Particularly this one is heavely used (about 250 clients running AS/400 sessions -telnet-, exchange and domino replications, FTP transfers and HTTP, SQL synchronization to SAP, SAP GUI connections, DataMirror, progress etc...) (about 2 months) I haven't had any problems since reading up on NAT. Joachim P.S. As soon as I have a dev system and able to adjust the DHCP server (multiple scopes), the WAN and Showroom m0n0wall's will be DHCP server to all LAN and Showroom clients... -----Original Message----- From: Rob Tucker [mailto:rtucker at decalmods dot com] Sent: vrijdag 5 december 2003 19:36 To: m0n0wall at lists dot m0n0 dot ch Subject: [m0n0wall] m0nowall development. First I just wanted to say thank you to Manuel and all of the other contributors to the m0n0wall project. I myself am beginning to develop m0n0wall for my current employer. We were looking for a nice embedded firewall/router/gateway system and why invent the wheel so we wanted to use m0n0wall as a start to fill our needs. No reason to reinvent the wheel when the wheel already works so well. I was wondering if there have been any advancements to the package from what was listed in the wishlist. The main one I would be interested in would be the dhcp lease status page. Along with that I am going to develop a system for adding real static ip address to a list then a nice interface to nat them 1:1 to a dhcp’d address. If anyone else would find this to be a useful feature then contact me and my company and myself would be more than happy to contribute it. A few questions that I had are does anyone have any info as far as stability goes when having 30-50 clients connected to the machine. And also as far as clients connecting to ipsec vpn connections. We are a company that handles broadband access for hotels so the ipsec issue is an important one. Thanks Manuel and crew for such a great project, and I hope to start adding some useful contributions soon. ----------------------------------------------- MISSION STATEMENT ----------------------------------------------- Océ enables its customers to manage their documents efficiently and effectively by offering innovative print and document management products and services for professional environments. ----------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER ----------------------------------------------- This e-mail message and any attachment are intended for the sole use of the recipient(s) named above and may contain information which is confidential and/or protected by intellectual property rights.
