This is a followup query to:

Has anyone got an apple airport client to associate with WEP to m0n0wall
1.2b5 and up? It gives me a generic "problem joining the wireless
network Blah" error when I tried to associate in MacOSX. 1.11 and 1.2b3
work fine, so it looks like it's a change that was introduced with the
FreeBSD 5.3 upgrade. Nothing shows up in the logs on either side that's
useful.

Anyone have any ideas?

Specs:
MacOSX 10.3.9
Airport Extreme (firmware 3.4.4f5 (3.50.37.p4))
