Well,

I reinstalled 1.11 at the office and I can now connect from the home
office with the PPTP.  I hand entered all the rules, starting with the
PPTP.  So for some reason I guess the 1.2b7 had some kind of issue,
but that is beyond me.  I with it worked I liked the additional
features :(
