I need to make some changes to pccard.conf so I can use my 3com PCMCIA adapter 
on my laptop.

I booted my machine in single user mode to test the changes.  Everything seems 
to work ok -  pccardd recognizes the card.  Now I need to make the changes 
permenant.

I'm running a pre-built image on my machine.  I don't have the time and 
resources to do my own build and packaging.

So, how can I boot the machine in single user mode and mount the filesystem 
Read/Write so I can make the changes permenant?
