The system.php setup page for Time Interval says "Minutes between network time sync.; 300 recommended, or 0 to disable" Does this mean I either have to wait or reboot the box to get the correct time for firewall logs? At this point I am now back to using America/New_York as the time zone. I did not change the server. still pointing to 198.82.1.201. The m0n0wall firewall log time is still off by 5 hours...BUT, the data sent to the syslog server (wallwatcher) is reporting the correct time. Very strange. I am wondering if there is something in the firewall php page that is not compensating for the difference in time ?? I have not rebooted the box yet since making these changes. - Don On 7/5/05, taharka <res00vl8 at alltel dot net> wrote: > Don Munyak wrote: > > >Thanks taharka, > > > >After trial-n-error, partial success. > > > >US VA ntp-1.vt.edu (198.82.1.201) > >Location: Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia, USA > >Synchronization: V3 Stratum 2 synced to local GPS primary servers > >Service Area: US southeastern region, Abilene > >Access Policy: open access > > > >Web GUI > >Time zone: Etc/GMT -1 > >NTP server: 198.82.1.201 > > > >status.php now shows the correct time, however... > >the firewall logs are still out of sync. > > > >I'm still scratching my head :) > > > >- Don > > > > > > > > > > > OK, how about setting the time zone back to NY or > America/Kentucky/Louisville?
